November Newsletter
Hey, how is your autumn/fall? In Britain, we are having the last throws of summer as the temperature begins to drop and winter comes to say hello. Our heads turn from Halloween towards the British tradition of bonfire night and the burning of Guy Fawkes, and on to Christmas. I always think of this time of year as harvest, mellow fruitfulness and all that. This week, I made my traditional stollen bread and then dropped it as I took it from the oven and watched it shatter on the floor, hey ho.
October was all about time, and I had plenty of time as I was off my feet having had an operation; thanks for your emails, cards and texts. I hope that you are using your time well to achieve what you want from your life. But on with November...
November is the month of families and relationships
Everything that we do is about families. When we look at how we learned, from the moment of birth, and what we experienced in the family setting and how that plays out in our lives right now, we begin to see how important families are. But enough of this; what is happening this month?
Cheshire FM broadcast (92.5)On Sunday November 1st 2009 I spent two hours (between music!) talking with Peter Rosenfeld about parts of my life and work. For those that missed it, or for those who want to listen again, you can listen right here by following this link.
November Mind Bank Saturday 14th
I love the Mind Bank. It is such a warm experience that feeds the soul. The setting, at Highcroft, looks across the gardens and lawns, with the Sun pouring through the windows of the hall as we develop our Chi Yoga programme and deep relaxation. There is something magical about breaking bread together and the shared breakfast always fills me with joy. It is a treat to sit and watch and listen as people relax, open up and share. Click here to find out more, it'd be great to see you there.
Communication and sharing
Continuing the theme of the month, the Mind Bank workshop theme is on communication and co-operation and the role that this plays in our individual development.
Wrexham Open Evening
On the evening of Tuesday November 17th at 6.30pm, we are holding an open evening in Wrexham at the Glyndwr University site (previously NEWI). The purpose of the evening is to explain the work of the courses and to sign people up for the programmes starting in Wrexham on January 12th 2010. So, as a general request, I would like you all to attend and bring as many people with you as you can. Have a think about who you will bring and let me know the numbers, so that we can account for refreshments, handouts, seats, etc.
The Ten Steps Course has developed really well this year and I want you to help me drive this further in 2010. David and Sharon will take on running the Wrexham courses later in 2010. You may like to run courses yourself, or help to set up course programmes in your area. If you would like to help develop these ideas, please let me know.
I hope that next year we can also extend the Mind Bank to Wrexham; now that's an idea. And, I think that Debbie would do well helping to set up programs in Nantwich - ‘What do you think Debs?’
Wirral Open Evening
We will be running the same event as in Wrexham on Wirral at Highcroft on Thursday December 3rd at 6.30pm and I will be asking for your support then as well. So, thinking caps on, who can you invite? Details for both events are up on the site. Tell your friends!
Reiki on Wirral
Agnes Noble has started her Reiki training course at Highcroft and is now booking her next course. Details will be on the courses page for you to sign up.
The Course in Self Discovery forty week course
You will also be able to view the details for the self-discovery program on the site. People are now booking for the course starting in 2010, so book your place early. Interestingly, there are people signing up for the program in Australia, so that will be another first, using the internet and Skype. I am looking forward to 2010; it is going to be a very good year.
Have a wonderful month.
