About the course
The aim of this course is simple: You are as young as your spine.I started doing Hatha Yoga in 1972 and then trained as a teacher. I have practiced and taught Yoga and Samkhya philosophy and meditation ever since. In 1994 I was involved in an accident that left me walking with a limp until the year 2000. At that time I went on a course with Ken Thompson who teaches Tai Chi and discovered a whole new area of body work. I began to develop a cross between the two that I named Chi Yoga. I also began to study Dru Yoga with Mani Pattel at the life foundation, a very good course.
These days I teach a course that is concerned primarily with your spine on the basis that as long as you are flexible you will remain mobile, even in later life, but also I am interested in the flow of Chi energy. If you meditate, do yoga, practice Reiki , pranayama, acupressure, acupuncture or any form of healing you will know what I mean by Chi. In some traditions this is called prana, etheric energy, bio energy and so on.
Who is it for?
Everyone!
This gentle form of exercise is suitable for all people of any age and can be suitable for people with existing back problems. I always suggest that before starting any new exercise regime you should consult your doctor/physician.
The program is progressive building on previous sessions, though you can join at any time and play catch up. Just remember that your body is your guru and will tell you what it does and doesn’t want to do.

What will I learn?
The program is very practical.
It uses techniques and skills from Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Tai Chi. Chi Kung, Pranyama, Doin, Acupressure, and so on.
When you practice on a regular basis your level of stress will diminish, if you suffer from anxiety or panic these will improve and may disappear all together, it will help regulate your weight, increase your patience and improve your sleep pattern and overall your sense of wellbeing will grow.
