Love and money and self-esteem

So have you got your head around the detox?  Several people have contacted me because they have an aim for their programme.  Some are starting off with weight loss and others changing habits and dealing with addictions.  I know that for everyone that has a go, it will be of benefit, subject to my health warning.

September is detox month

Welcome September to Sean Orford’s Month for your Total Detox

This month, there is a fabulous chance for you to join me on a journey of self-cleansing, both inside and out.  Few people understand the importance of detox, including doctors and dieticians.  The physical aspects of detox cover only about 10% of the journey.  The other 90% is the inner journey and that is what I want to share with you this month.  The first half of the month is preparation and the last half is a thirteen-day detoxification diet.  If you do it, you will feel absolutely fabulous, not just physically, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  I will publish the detox on the site as a PDF for you to print off next week.

NB: Before we go any further, I want to give you this health warning.
Before undertaking any exercise or detoxification programme, check it out with your doctor/physician.  I do not know you and I do not know your body.  If you are taking any medication or suffer from any disease, condition or syndrome, you may be affected detrimentally by the programme.  So check it out before you undertake the thirteen-day detox.

Sean Orford’s detox programme covers 8 levels
If you followed the eight levels of love in July, you will have an idea of where I am going.  There are eight aspects within all people, all of which may need to be subject to detoxification, your physical body is only one of these.  However, the body is where we need to begin.  So, here we go...

Level one:  The need to detox your body
Your body is a structure of meat and bones and a vast amount of water.  The bones are the scaffolding that supports the body tissues.  The muscles are anchored to the bones to allow mobility.  Inside the casing of bone and muscle are the organs, including the brain and nervous systems. Your bodily fluids, through the cardio-vascular system and the lymphatic system, circulate oxygen and nutrients to the organs and muscles.  Most important are the hormones and endorphins that are the chemical environment of your internal world, produced by your endocrine organs.

Did you know that you have an internal chemical world of your own?
When you tumbled out of the womb, your chemical system was basically neutral, subject to the fact that your internal chemical environment was programmed by your parents’ genetics and by the lifestyle of your mother.  However, if your mother was taking addictive drugs, you may have come into the world already dependent.  Or if she was carrying AIDS or hepatitis, you will have probably been born with a disease needing treatment.  In most cases, the filter of the placenta will have protected your body system to be, as I said, basically your chemical environment.

You have created your own addiction
From that moment on, you set about creating your own internal chemical environment. You did this in two major ways. The first is that you started to ingest and digest foods or substances that have affected how your system functions in specific ways.

The second is that your emotional and mental attitudes, and your physical behaviours, have caused the production of certain hormones and endorphins in your system.  So that someone with high levels of fight and flight chemistry will have some heightened alertness and possibly panic attacks.  But it also works the other way around as well.  Someone who has undergone a threatening situation will have high levels of the same chemistry.

The important thing is that we can create a sense of panic or threat without being in a threatening situation.  We do this by using our imagination: watching a film, reading a book, listening to a story and so on.
