Mind Bank Review
Saturday 13 June 2009
Great Mind Bank, great feedback from the participants.
We started with the now traditional Chi Yoga spinal release programme, followed by a deep relaxation, leading to calm and smiley faces. The weather was kind and the early morning sun illuminated our session.
Over a shared breakfast, Mind Bankers brought us up-to-date with their project, and newcomers introduce themselves and shared something of what they had to offer the Bank and also what they felt they could benefit from the bank. It was good to see alliances being forged and people making arrangement to further their aims.
Importantly are those members of the Bank that have no earth-shaking project and simply want to enjoy the support of a group of like-minded individuals to maintain their positive energy. This is good and as it should be. For some, the project in life is simply to be happy, while others may want to make millions to achieve their dreams. Neither is more important or greater than the other, each is about the individual fulfilling themselves and that is why we are here.
There was a workshop on breath and chakras clearing, and there were several sessions of individual therapy and healing taking place around the centre. In the main hall, there were drums and keyboards, guitars and mics, that all became a bit flat due to equipment problems. However, there was some good work in putting music to lyric in an acoustic session, which I understand will be furthered over the coming months.
The next Mind Bank will be on Saturday July 18th. No music this time. The main theme will be a presentation skills workshop for those wishing to run their own courses, plus the usual features and therapies. It would be good to see you there. If the weather is good, will have the yoga on the lawn. Remember to wear loose clothing and bring a practice mat.
